Fourth grade is the year designated to study Florida history, state government, commerce, etc. In Florida history are we in the period of the Great Depression and the two World Wars. George Sebring purchased 9,000 acres in 1911 to establish the town that now bears his name. Students will work independently to create their own "then" and "now" project.

Week of March 17, 2008 – present the project to students & send letter to parents
Week of March 24, 2008 – all student projects chosen and approved by teacher and parents/guardians. Begin research based on questionnaire/criteria developed by the students.
Week of April 7, 2008 – planning and creating cover in classroom and tech lab
Week of April 14, 2008 – finish covers
Week of April 21, 2008 – plan mini-field trip for photo opportunities
Week of April 28, 2008 – begin creating slides
Week of May 5, 2008 – continue creating slides
Week of May 12, 2008 – finish creating slides
Week of May 19, 2008 – add dialog
Week of May 26, 2008 – print/copy/etc/presentations
